Was Yoda a Stem Cell Patient?

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, they had it all - lasers, spaceships, the force, and, of course, Princess Leia. In this cluster of awesomeness, the power of stem cells must have surely been known.

Well, at least by one person...

Yoda died at the ripe age of 900, and mesa thinks he was keeping a secret. Notice that throughout the entire Star Wars universe, not one other little green person was to be found. They must have died off when his species refused to fund stem cell research. Yet somehow Yoda still managed to harness the medical technology and lived on for hundreds of years, pursuing a successful career as a wise and omnipotent Jedi Master.

Although seemingly frail, the ancient Yoda demonstrated agility and mastery of lightsaber combat and acrobatics. Then, one day he suddenly passed away, succumbing to old age. Very old age. This was undoubtedly because his stem cell supply had finally diminished.

Although he is no longer around to share his opinion in our nation's current debate, his wise message regarding the fear of stem cell research will carry on forever:

"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."
